Open Enrollment in or outside the Exchange begins in mid-November 2022,  but some exceptions may apply if you have a qualifying event If you have a qualifying event (i.e.: involuntary loss of coverage, marriage, birth, etc), you may get a special enrollment period to buy an individual health plan.  Most special enrollment periods last 60 days from the date of the qualifying event.

Regence BlueShield offers 15 plans  outside of the Exchange. The Individual and Family Network is a broad network that covers Western Washington. It’s composed of the doctors, facilities and practitioners we’ve contracted with to provide care to our members at a discounted price in Western Washington—as well as Oregon, and parts of Utah and Idaho. You also have 24/7/365 access to virtual care through Doctor On Demand anywhere you are. (Out-of-network urgent care, emergency care and ambulance services are paid as in-network care, subject to balance billing.)

The plans are available in the following counties: Clallam, Cowlitz, Grays Harbor, Island, Jefferson, King, Kitsap, Klickitat, Lewis, Mason, Pacific, Pierce, San Juan, Skagit, Skamania, Snohomish, Thurston, Wahkiakum, Whatcom and Yakima counties. Use of the National Blue Cross BlueShield network is permitted if you need care when traveling outside of Washington state.

Available in Benton, Columbia, Franklin, Island, King, Kitsap, Kittitas, Lewis, Mason, Pierce, San Juan, Skagit, Snohmohish, Spokane, Thurston, Walla Walla, Whatcom, Whitman and Yakima counties.
